Strengthening Good Relations

The Inter Faith Network for the UK – strengthening good relations through:

  • Advancing awareness of the different faith communities in the UK, including distinctive features and common ground
  • Promoting mutual respect, understanding and cooperation
  • Raising the profile of existing inter faith work
  • Encouraging inter faith initiatives at all levels
  • Helping people come together
  • Sharing good practice
  • Providing a trusted source of information
  • Enabling discussion and common action
  • Producing resources

Inter Faith Week

A major programme of the Inter Faith Network – an opportunity to:

  • Strengthen good inter faith relations at all levels
  • Increase awareness of the different and distinct faith communities in the UK, in particular celebrating and building on the contribution which their members make to their neighbourhoods and to wider society 
  • Increase understanding between people of religious and non-religious beliefs

Each year, hundreds of events are held to mark the Week, involving thousands of people of different backgrounds coming together.
