Joint
Events
Local inter faith bodies sometimes hold
joint meetings and events in partnership with other organisations such
as the Council of Christians and Jews, One World Week, Religions for
Peace, Amnesty, the United Nations Association, or a local environment
group.
We held a special event for One
World Week event: “Peace Depends on Dialogue”. After an
introduction by the Group’s co-ordinator, there was Indian
Classical Dance, lighting of candles by invited individuals of the
different faiths, a presentation from a Muslim specialist in inter
faith relations, and a question period. The event also included
songs and a special prayer for peace.
