Youth Inter Faith

What is Connect?

Connect is about making connections and friendships. It’s about how it matters for people to build bridges of friendship and understanding between people of the different and distinct religions in this country today.
The term inter faith describes any kind of activity between people of different faiths or beliefs. The levels of inter faith activity in the UK are rising fast and people are becoming more aware of other faiths around them.

The aim of Connect is to challenge young people to take on inter faith activities for themselves, becoming more aware of the society they live in and meeting more young people from other faiths and communities. Connect wants to empower young people to use their energy, ideas and resources and channel them into connecting and maybe even making friends with young people from other faith communities.

Connect was published by the Inter Faith Network for the UK in association with TimeBank and The National Youth Agency. An advisory group consisting of staff from the three partner organisations and young people from different faiths helped take the project forward.
